Fiona received her Bachelor of Applied Science, Occupational Therapy from Lincoln Institute of Health sciences in 1982, working in country Victoria until 1995. She moved to Tasmania with her family and has worked in paediatrics since then, developing a special interest children's continence, especially regarding children with developmental disabilities.

During the last 25 years she has also worked with the Department of Education in a team contracted to provide capacity building to school staff in the areas of motor, sensory and psychosocial challenges.

3 years ago Fiona moved from Hobart to the North West of Tasmania and continues to work with the Education Department in the north of the state and also has a small private practice, with a special interest in children's continence.

Fiona has been more involved with OTA since her children grew older and has been the Divisional Chair in Tasmania since 2016, hoping to make what contribution she can to our profession.

Kerri has worked in clinical, non-clinical, management and leadership roles for over 30 years in government, NGO and private sectors, in several Australian states and overseas. Her experience ranges from acute hospitals to rural generalist roles, across the lifespan and diverse clinical cohorts, in project positions and quality standards & accreditation programs.

Kerri is currently Discipline Lead for Occupational Therapy in the Tasmanian Health Service – North; she enjoys the diversity of this position and working collaboratively with other Allied Health professions for continuous service improvement. Occupation-centred and evidence-based knowledge translation to practice are key focus areas for Kerri in her workplace. She also has keen interest in healthcare reform, systems & service redesign, supporting the growth & development of the OT workforce, and promoting occupational therapy professional scope and value to the Tasmanian community.

Jeannie has worked for over 30 years as an occupational therapist across many practice settings, including community health, acute hospitals and mental health.

She currently has her own private practice based in the Northwest of Tasmania and works with adults eligible for NDIS. She travels regularly to the remote communities on the west coast of Tasmania.

Jeannie enjoys working collaboratively with her OT colleagues, other allied health professionals and the vast range of stakeholders who are essential in ensuring the maximum benefit for her clients. She has also enjoys coordinating the North West OTs peer support group who meet for coffee once a month, and discuss the issues facing OTs in the ever changing professional landscape.

Maria works for the Tasmanian Health Service-South in the Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU)- an outpatient service working with adults with neurological conditions and other disabling impairments

Previous work experiences include: disability/not-for-profit in NSW, NSW Health and community neurological services in the United Kingdom. As a newer OT to Tassie (2.5 years and counting) she’s keen to promote the benefits of being an OT in Tasmania and advocate for important role of occupational therapy services in the state

Maree has worked for over 30 years in practice settings including acute and community based public mental health, private mental health, vocational rehabilitation and community health. She currently works for the Aged Care Assessment Team and as a Witness Intermediary for the Department of Justice.

Maree enjoys continuing to extend her knowledge and skills and is committed to the promotion and development of Occupational Therapy as a whole and, within Tasmania. She enjoys catching up with OTs at the monthly NW OT support group.
